PRE SEASON FITNESS PROGRAM
This program represents the minimum training standard our athletes should complete to build the fitness and strength necessary for ski season.
For athletes U14 and older who are not participating in fall sports, I also recommend incorporating resistance or weight training if they have access to a gym or training facility.
Athletes should follow this program through December, continuing until one week prior to the first competition. After that point, they should reduce to Program Days 1 and 2 for the months of January and February to maintain fitness during the competition season.
Included in the attached PDF are detailed exercises and video links demonstrating proper form and technique for each movement.
