U.S. Ski & Snowboard age classifications are based on the athlete’s age as of 12/31/26.
U10 is a competitive alpine racing program for athletes ages 8–9 who are ready to expand their racing experience in a structured and supportive environment.

Development of confidence, independence, and mountain awareness
Training Focus:

Develop strong foundational skiing skills and all-mountain confidence

Improve balance, edging, pressure control, and turn shape in varied terrain

Introduce basic race tactics, course inspection, and gate training

Build technical fundamentals in slalom and giant slalom
Competition Opportunities:

Participation in recreational home races

Select athletes may attend regional travel races based on coach recommendation and athlete readiness

Continued exposure to structured competition environments

Athlete Requirements:

New athletes are subject to a tryout evaluation before acceptance or have a US Ski & Snowboard race profile established.

Maintain an active U.S. Ski & Snowboard membership and Pennsylvania Alpine Racing Association (PARA) memberships.

Membership fees and race entry fees (race fees, lift tickets, travel, lodging) are separate from Blue Mountain program tuition.

Athletes are required to hold a valid Blue Mountain season pass




SEASON TRAINING PREVIEW
U10 is a racing program for athletes ages 8-9 to develop ski racing skills.
Age-appropriate training schedule focused on skill development, confidence building, and introducing athletes to competitive skiing experiences.
