The U18/U21 Program is designed for dedicated alpine athletes ages 16–18 as of 12/31/2026 who are committed to competing at a high level. Athletes in this program participate in a competitive series of approximately eight races across the state of Pennsylvania, held on challenging terrain and demanding racecourses.

All athletes compete as scored competitors, earning US Ski and Snowboard seed points based on race performance. These points determine start order within race fields.

Athletes must have an established US Ski and Snowboard racing profile, with multiple seasons of race experience. Placement in the program is by evaluation and recommendation of the Blue Mountain coaching staff.

From the PA Cup Series, qualified athletes may advance to the PARA State Team and Eastern Regional events, including Eastern Finals. At this level, a FIS license may be required depending on the level of competition.

Athlete Requirements

• Maintain an active U.S. Ski & Snowboard membership

• Assume responsibility for all away race expenses (race fees, lift tickets, travel, lodging)

• Hold a valid season pass

Compliance Requirements (US Ski and Snowboard)

• Athletes age 17 turning 18 during the season must complete a background screening at the time of U.S. Ski & Snowboard registration

• Athletes age 18 and older must complete background screening within 10 days of registration

• Athletes turning 18 must complete SafeSport Training before their 18th birthday
